Upcoming Event: Robyn’s Book Launch in Tauranga

We’re excited to announce that New Zealand author Robyn Cotton will be launching her new crime novel, The Boat Shed, in Tauranga on Tuesday, 21 October at 7PM. This gripping story shines a spotlight on the realities of human trafficking, focusing especially on the plight of young Nepalese girls.

Robyn’s Connection with International Needs NZ

Robyn is a long-time supporter of International Needs NZ and has a personal connection to our work. In 2009, she visited Kathmandu and met young women involved in our Lydia programme, which equips and protects girls vulnerable to trafficking. She also hosted our Nepal director in New Zealand and toured a girls’ home in India for at-risk young women. Because of these experiences, Robyn includes International Needs in the Author’s Note of The Boat Shed.

Purpose of the Event

This launch is a special opportunity to celebrate Robyn’s new novel and to hear from the author herself. Attendees will get a chance to engage with Robyn, ask questions, and learn about the inspirations behind her story.
