“A goat changed my life,” says Ms. Dhan Maya, a single woman who received a goat through International Needs Nepal (INNP)’s programme in February 2023, as part of the WOJ Christmas Appeal.
Ms. Dhan Maya was one of seventeen women supported by INNP. She worked hard to care for her goat, finding free grass in the jungle and giving it the best care. Her hard work paid off—the goat had healthy male twins.
Dhan Maya showed great planning. She sold two male goats for 24,500 rupees and saved the money in a bank for emergencies, knowing her children live far away.
Her goat business is still growing. She built a fence and shelter to protect her goats and recently had another set of twins. Dhan Maya plans to sell two more goats next year as she moves toward financial independence.
She is very thankful to INNP and New Zealander supporters—and through this gift, she also heard the gospel, which has brought her hope and encouragement.

The pastors are engaged in activities such as Gospel Outreach programmes, church planting, Bible distribution, children and youth ministries, refugee camp ministry, and disaster relief when needed. These pastors need supporting as they often have no other income to support their families. They also need support with transportation to reach remote villages, and resources to be able to share with these people.
