Hlasanu

Hlasanu’s father is deceased and her mother has to work hard as a Jum Cultivator (a special type of tribal cultivation). Hlasanu has an older sister. The family often have nothing to eat because of their meagre income. They live in a one-room hut made of bamboo, wood and iron sheets. It is in the southern part of Bangladesh in the Bandarban district, 650 kilometres away from Savar Children’s Village. They access drinkable water from their local well.
Hlasanu likes to help her mother in the vegetable garden and she also likes dancing. She needs support so she can stay at the school.
She is in Grade Four and Christian education is her favourite subject.
