Sweety

Sweety and her family are from Puthia in the Northern part of Bangladesh. She is an only child and they live on abandoned land as they have no property of their own. Sweety’s parents are daily laborers but due to the poverty in the area malnutrition and lack of education is a big issue.
The family live in a hut with relatives. The hut is made of bamboo, wood, iron sheets and dry leaves. They have access to drinkable water from their local tube-well.
Sweety’s home is 600km away from the Savar Children’s Village but she and her parents are very grateful she can be at Savar. She is in Nursery Grade and loves to dance. Her favourite subject is Art. She also loves to clean the school dormitory with her friends.
