I got so much love and care at Lydia
Bina loves tailoring class, cooking classes and moral teachings among many things taught at LVTC.
Bina Tamang ( 25 yrs) is a single mother of 2 children and is a new believer. She is living with a believer in the church family, who is like a guardian to her. Her daughter (6 years) lives with the believer lady and son (2 years) is with one of her relatives.
Bina says, coming to Lydia Vocational Training Centre has been a blessing for her. First few days were difficult for her as she felt strange and unsure how the things will be in the centre. Following Lydia hostel rules and adjusting with friends from different background was something new to her.
She loves tailoring class, cooking classes and moral teachings among many things taught at LVTC. She says, “Though I struggled writing notes and draft in the beginning, I have now learned making drafts, cutting and sewing clothes. I also learned about the machine parts and its function. I have courage to do tailoring job in future.” She further adds, “moral teaching class is very helpful and eye opener for me. I learned about living a disciplined life, controlling our temper, respecting others and following rules.”
She says that Health education class was very helpful that should could learn about personal hygiene, pregnancy, caring for baby before and after birth and many more. She is thrilled that she could learn to bake cake and cook meat in the weekly cooking class. She is very much excited to learn.
She is growing better in her knowledge about God. She learned to adjust with friends. She could learn to control her temper and speak softly and also improve her personal hygiene and the cleanliness.
She found the training centre is a blessing from God. She is happy to a part of this training center. She feels so much love and care from everybody at Lydia and that makes her feel blessed. She says food and accommodation is very good, which she did not have before. Daily devotion is fruitful for her and she is learning to lead morning devotion.
She has the responsibility of her two kids. So after the graduation she wants to join some courses and work in other tailor for some time. After that she wants to run her own business and take care of her kids and their future..
