Suntali's story of transformation
Suntali lives in Kapping Village, Nepal, and her life used to revolve around looking for water.
Suntali lives in Kapping Village, Nepal, and her life used to revolve around looking for water. Every day, she and her two children would walk 30 minutes, carrying up to 50 litres of water in bamboo baskets, and often they'd have to make the trip more than once. The WASH project in Nepal arrived to transform this situation.
Thanks to your help, the International Needs Nepal team repaired the village's water system, severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake. Now, 40 households, including Suntali's, have clean water right at home. Suntali can now spend more time on farming and her family, while her daughter Binita can focus on her studies. They even have water for their garden.
When we spoke with Suntali, she pressed her hands together and bowed, saying “Dhanyabad” (thank you), it was heartwarming. That smile is a testament of the impact of our supporters.
Suntali hopes more families can get the help they need, as many are still living without easy access to water. Your continued support can make this happen.
