Legacy

Leaving a Legacy

International Needs has been helping individuals and communities throughout the world for over 45 years.  With this experience you can be confident your legacy will be one to be remembered in generations to come.
The legacy of international needs is to transform lives and change communities with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Leaving a gift in your Will to International Needs New Zealand will help to transform lives and change communities with Christ’s message of love and redemption.  Leaving a legacy is a life-giving investment. It shows compassion to the world’s unloved and forgotten people for generations to come.

Some people are uncomfortable talking about Wills and Estate Planning. It can remind us that life is not permanent.  However, as believers in Jesus, we have a wonderful future to look forward to.  A future with Him.
By leaving a gift in your Will to International Needs, your gift will be one, that keeps on giving.  This is because all legacy gift donations are used to continue supporting the future work of International needs, whether it be to support national church workers to spread the Gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor or teaching families to be self-sustainable.
Would you consider leaving a legacy to International Needs?

THERE ARE THREE WAYS TO LEAVE A BEQUEST

Residuary

This is where you give what is left in your estate to International Needs after all estate debts and expenses are met and your family has been looked after. It’s the simplest and most effective way to support International Needs.

"I give my residuary estate to International Needs New Zealand.

I also declare that the receipt of the authorised officer for the time being of the organisation shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors/trustees."

Percentage

You can leave a percentage of your estate to International Needs New Zealand. This gives longevity to your Will as your gift will not be influenced by inflation or changes in the value of your estate.

"I give (insert percentage) % of my residuary estate to International Needs New Zealand.

I also declare that the receipt of the authorised officer for the time being of the organisation shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors/trustees."

Specific Gift

This is where you give International Needs New Zealand a specific sum of money or specific property such as real estate or an item of value (such as a painting or insurance policy). This bequest will only take place if you own the asset at the date of your death.

"I give (specific assets such as real estate, shares etc or specific sum of money) to International Needs New Zealand) free of all duties and encumbrances.

I also declare that the receipt of the authorised officer for the time being of the organisation shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors/trustees.”

Note: International Needs New Zealand’s is our legal name.
